Toe in the door
Today was the first day of the European Daylight Saving Time. The weather was winterly but we still got to enjoy glorious sunshine. Instead of taking the dog for a walk earlier I chose to go closer to the sunset because I had a mission: To hear the song of a blackbird.
I live right next to the Central Park of Helsinki, which is more a large wooded area than an actual park, so this was not a mission impossible :) And as I thought, the conditions were just right. We took a long enough walk to enjoy the efforts of at least four different blackbirds. I guess this means that slowly, but surely, the spring is coming no matter how unlikely it seems :)
Below is a picture from last spring when there was a lovely fog one morning. It made the garden look quite unreal.
