Marching on

My Daff Collection got an addition a few days back, when the grocery store had potted Tête-à-Tête daffodils for sale. I haven't forced any bulbs for a few years now, and have to say that the thrill of seeing the flowers this early in the year makes me regret that. Grocery store to the rescue! They we're quite a good value too, 1.99€ for one double-nose bulb and three rounds. Normal retail price in the autumn is about 0.60€ for a round, and these were forced to boot.

My bulbs will eventually be planted in the garden, but the thought of all those that end up in garbage cans is saddening. A bulb is for Life, not just for Spring! :)

Maaliskuu jo maata näyttää. Näyttäisikin. Joka tapauksessa auringonpaiste ja tieto siitä, että puutarhan jälleennäkemiseen on enää kuukausi, tuo hymyn kasvoille koko päiväksi.

Narsissit viettivät pari päivää jääkaapissa kun tuskailin niille sopivan viileän paikan löytämisessä, tänä aamuna keksin sijoittaa ne keittiön ikkunan väliin. Kastelu saattaa olla vähän haastavaa, mutta kukinnan pidempi kesto korvannee vaivannäön :)

Blogin "kuvia vain omasta puutarhasta"-sääntö pitää yhä, joten ei narsisseja. Sen sijaan jasmike, jota olen rääkännyt ruukussa kohta jo kolme vuotta. Jokohan löytäisin sille puutarhasta pysyvän kodin ensi kesänä?
