Onnistuin eilen vihdoin hankkimaan itselleni
Esimerkiksi
Hupaisaa ajankulua tyhmille lapsille bloggaa sujuvasti molemmilla, ja ehkä voisin kokeilla samassa hengessä - ilman, että erikielisten entryjen tarvitsee muistuttaa toisiaan ollenkaan. Joten älkää naurako, seuraa toista kotimaista...
Yesterday I discovered that my little blog has been "found out" by
Kathy because of a teeny little link I made, and since that has evidently caused at least one other visit by an English speaking person (
Hi Bill!), I decided to blog at least one entry in English, just to find out how it feels :)
As my Finnish readers know, I actually don't have much to say as a rule, and it also being winter and all. So perhaps I'll just introduce myself shortly.
I'm 32 old and an aspiring old maid, complete with two cats (and a dog). I'm a weekend gardener, meaning that I don't actually live next to my garden which is located some 100 kilometres north of Helsinki, where I live. I've been gardening for four years now. Before that the garden was basically neglected for years, but it is very slowly but surely starting
not to look like an eyesore. In gardening I have to deal with the Finnish climate, which makes gardening absolutely impossible between November and March, and very hard for the rest of the year :) My favorite plants are daffodils and peonies, which will be evident to anyone bothering to check the archives...
Below is a picture of a shrub rose covered in snow. I hate the way the branches bend under the weight of snow during the winter and so I did my best to shake the snow off. But only after I took the picture :)
